My Life Stats

 It's amazing to see how's everything going since the day I was born --I mean, 6,535 days ago! 

Let's talk about the exact second when I wrote this. My heart has beaten about 734,011,375 times and pumped 564,624 L of blood. My body has produced more than 1 quadrillion (1 with 15 zeros) red blood cells. I've blinked more than 141 million times. And that's not only me. The wonderful things happened in the world where I live too!

Before I continue, I'll state that this life state reminds me of Mitch Albom's book titled The Time Keeper (Sang Penjaga Waktu). Its main character is juggling between times and questioned the meaning of time. These life stats thought me how to see what happens in an exact amount of time. 

Okay, let's get into the business. 

So, since the day I was born, there are 1,360,790,401 more people on Earth than when you were born. This makes Earth a crowded planet, of course. I don't know if these stats count the dead ones because, you know, our last year is terrible caused by the pandemics. 

Then, there is 10% more CO2 in the atmosphere than when I was born. I hope it doesn't get bigger. $1.00 in 2003 (the year when I was born) is equivalent to $1.4 today. Okay, we're gonna talk about economics and dollars invention later. 

My life is cycled in a way it used to. I've traveled 16 million km around the Sun, and the Sun itself has orbited the Milky Way with the solar system. So, in general, I've traveled 129 million km around the Milky Way! The moon has orbited me 239  times in my lifetime and it goes 68 cm further away than when you were born. Don't leave me, moon!

A lot of good things happen, too! It's really great to hear that the number of humans living in extreme poverty decreased by 59%, and the world literacy rate went from 85% to 86%. Hey, it might be my job to increase it many more! Life expectancy went up 5 years for all people, and 11% more people have access to electricity. Wow, wow, wow! These life stats make me learn that I'm not the only one doing my job in the earth. I still have a long, long way to go.
