Music Interpretation and Differentiate: English Program

 

Today, Hanna told us to differentiate and do some interpretation between these two songs: Real Love by Hillsong Young & Free and a song titled Bila Takut Membayang. I put this video music here. 

In my honest opinion, these two pieces of music are hardly different. Let me tell you why: 

First, Real Love by Hillsong is an English original version. They use the professional band instruments and western arrangement to make the audience feels the vibe. Besides, Bila Takut Membayang is a song originally created by Indonesia Musician, with old but gold instruments. The arrangement is also felt so different because it's music taste just like old Pentecost church music. 

The second is the lyrics. We can see the first music (Real Love) is uses the English language, with a poetry-kind of music. I like most of the Hillsong music because it usually use cool rhymes. On the other hand, Bila Takut Membayang didn't use any rhymes but focus on how to deliver the message to the audience, they praise simplicity.

The third thing, and the less-important thing, is about the video itself. Real Love using typography to make its video more interesting, and Bila Takut Membayang's video only use one picture to interpret the meaning. Again, they praise simplicity!
